The Chabasse VSOP Cognac is a wonderfully well-balanced blend of several terroirs, aged for a minimum of 4 years in traditional French limousin oak casks. A family affair since the 19th century, the estate was founded by Jean-Baptiste Chavasse in 1818 in Saint-Jean d’Angély.
The brand may not be as well-known as others in the region, but did experience its fifteen minutes of fame when a bottle of their Napoléon and XO Imperial appeared in the film Grace of Monaco with Nicole Kidman, with the family even being invited to Cannes Film Festival for the premiere!
A fairly full-bodied VSOP, it boasts warm notes of ripe fruits and a distinct and dominant floral bouquet, there are also some light cocoa and oak flavors in the mouth. A delightfully delicate yet distinguished VSOP to please the palate of even the most discerning drinker or Cognac connoisseur!
